Qualifications for Sucess

Last night in the club house (bus where we just sit around and drink in) the idea of 'what qualifies a successful trip' came up. Then followed the concept of your expectations vs your reality, and maybe those causing tension, and using your lack of expectations to enhance your reality, and just having an awesome time.

Comes down to, I'm trying not to have too many expectations. except one. I get one.

It's this:

I want to combine the idealistic awesomeness of the Tabula Rasa or blank slate of the Bonneville Salt Flats and the epic mind blowing carnage of Rock band in a sun setting, rock your socks off blood boiling face shattering sound cacophony of desert noise. There will be salt, there will be flatness, there will be a bus in the middle of all that roaring rifts and streaming light from projects on huge screens with little children running around fire with their minds letting lose on one of the greatest nothingness's on earth.

Other than that, I'm not sure if I care about the places we go, or what happens to us. That's not true in the sense that I have expectations of how I think some parts might happen, but t least I can let them a happen or not happen.

This rock assault on the desert though...on the other hand... this must happen
